Hello all and welcome to the 2020 'Year in Review', Sex Work Research Hub Newsletter. To say a great deal has happened since our last newsletter is something of an understatement. No sooner had we got through a general election, leaving the EU, and a UCU strike across the UK, then we were hit with the Covid19 pandemic. These are indeed unprecedented times. As the lock down hit, we have all had to adapt as best we can, reorder our priorities, and do what we can to help. The coronavirus has further exposed the vulnerability of sex workers across all sectors. The work being done by rights based organisation like SWARM and ECP to support those in need has been utterly remarkable. Thank you to everyone who has donated time, money, and resources to support this vital work.
Since our last newsletter, members of the Sex Work Research Hub have been writing books and articles, securing grants, hosting conferences, and completing and beginning PhDs. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this newsletter. It is fantastic to see the scope and quality of research being done.
Welcome to the July 2019 newsletter
